In 1872 then kaaranavar of Koodali thazhaththuveetu Renovated this temple Durga and Ganapathi were the other deities.A few years back a committy was formed to assist the kaaranavar in the day to day affairs of the temple.Then the idol of Annapoorrneswari was consecrated recently.Last year more than 2000 women participated in the Makarappongaala on 1st Makaram (13th January)
