The
shrine of Jala Durga facing the west is at the centre of a small
tank.A namaskaaramandapam built within the tank has a pyramidal roof and
four pillars.

The main shrine of Lord Subramanya was built by a Kolaththiri king later with a namaskaaramandapam. Jaladurga temple was sanctified by the visit of Sree Naaraayanaguru
in 1908.The H.R&C.E board took over the temple from the Chirakkal kovilakam in 1958
The other sub shrines within the akaththe balivattam are of Goddess Bhadrakaali at south-east and Lord Ayyappa at north with detached namaskaaramandapams(both hexagonal in shape)

The Thantri belngs to Mooththetathth illam and Saanthikkaaran belongs to Non hereditary Nampoothiri
